Warrington Disability Awareness Day (DAD)... save the date

Sunday the 14th of July 2019

We'll be at Warrington Disability Awareness Day ("DAD") at Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington next Sunday the 14th of July. Why not pop in and see what's on offer at the world's largest 'not for profit' voluntary-led disability exhibition, held annually in a huge tented village within the grounds of Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington'.

Entry to the show ground is completely FREE and so is the programme.

40th Anniversary of the MND Association... save the date

Sunday the 6th of October 2019

There will also be an 'Illuminated Buildings' campaign on this date where you can see Birchwood Park in Warrington and the Steven Prescott Bridge lit up again in the association colours of blue and orange

MND Awareness Film Evening Event... save the date

The 4th Annual MND Awareness Film Evening  - 17:30pm onwards - Birchwood, Warrington. WA3 6AE

To coincide with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Global awareness day on Sunday the 21st of June 2020, there will be a free movie night to be held in the Auditorium at Birchwood Park near Warrington. The evening has been arranged specifically for the purpose of raising awareness of MND/ALS and features two MND related films.

 

The films are totally free of charge (by donation, optional) and there's free parking, a free beer / glass of wine and even free popcorn and cinema snacks to enjoy.

MND 'Totally Amaze-balls' Charity Ball

We are excited to announce that we are having another fantastic Ball :)

New Venue 

15th April 2016

We now have a new home for our meetings.

The committee have decided to relocate down the road to the Holiday Inn Haydock, Lodge Ln, Haydock, WA12 0JG, as a result of the change in venue this will also affect the day that we meet, we will now meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. For more information contact Eric on 07841108540. We always welcome new faces to join us for a cuppa and a chat.

Bucket Collection

15th April 2016

On Friday 17th June we will be conducting a bucket collection at Langtree Park Stadium when St Helens RFC play Hull KR. If you would like to help volunteer please get in touch with Sarah

AGM 

2nd April 2016

Our branch AGM will be on Thursday 14th April, 7:30pm at the Haydock Park Hotel, Penny Lane. We will be joined by Chris Wade Director of Engagement, Julie Compton aka JC Campaigns Manager for the North and Volunteer Development Co-ordinator Sarah Milner. We look forward to seeing you all there :) 

 

Young Ambassador

We are delighted to announce that committee member Sarah Lewis has become 1 of 10 Young Ambassadors for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Sarah will be working with the other Young Ambassadors to get more young people to volunteer for the MNDA and help "Challenge MND" we look forward to hearing more from Sarah in the coming months.

Summer Ball...save the date

We are excited to announce that we are having a Summer Ball :)

Sarah has worked hard to ensure that it will be a night to remember with live entertainment from vocalist Russell Shaun and the brilliant comedian Pete Emmett as our host for the evening.

Big MND Awareness announcement.

19th January 2016
We are thrilled to announce that commitee member Sarah Lewis has secured the lighting of the iconic Steve Prescott bridge for Motor Neurone Disease Awareness month in June. The St.Helens council has agreed to lit the bridge up blue, orange and white from Wednesday 1st June until Sunday 3rd July, as the council have agreed to keep the bridge in the Motor Neurone Disease Association colours for an event we will be announcing very shortly (so watch this space)

Guest Speaker "Pete Collins"

We are thrilled to annouce that we have a guest speaker for our branch meeting on Thursday 18th Febrauary. 

 

Pete Collins the mind behind the #SelfTea4MND campaign and 1/3 of the 2014in2014 team will be coming to speak to us about all the fundraising that he has done for the MNDA. 

 

The meeting will be held at Mercure Hotel, Penny Lane, Haydock and starting at 7:30pm.

 

We welcome new faces, so feel free to join us for a chat and a cup of tea/coffee.
